Episode 7: You Win or You Die

Ned confronts Cersei about the truth of Jon Arryn's death as the wounded Robert makes preparation for his succession. Jon Snow takes the vows of the Night's Watch. Khal Drogo summons the khalasar to invade Westeros after Robert attempts to poison Daenerys. Ned is made the regent to rule in place of Robert until his heir is of age, and brings the note confirming this to Cersei, Joffrey, and the rest of the small council. Ned asks Littlefinger to have the City Watch on his side so he can safely remove the Lannisters from the throne, as Joffrey is not Robert's son but Jaime's, making Stannis Baratheon (Robert's younger brother) the true heir. However, Littlefinger and the city guards betray Ned and kill his men, and Littlefinger captures Ned.
